As the Internet bubble began to burst in 2000, X by 2 conducted a “rescue mission” effort to provide support and stability to our client when they decided to disengage with one of the pure play Internet consulting companies. Over the last several years, X by 2 has collaborated with our client to re-architect the website from a “brochure ware” website to a channel truly used for interactions and transactions by doctors and patients. We have brought to bear patterns, best practices and innovative ideas from our retail and consumer-facing e-commerce work. Our teams have followed agile design and development practices to launch, in record time, a variety of web-based services such as appointment scheduling, patient pre-registrations, prescription refills, physician boarding, mammogram screenings, etc. Over time, we have significantly “re-factored” the underlying architecture of the applications to anticipate and plan for changes and serve as a more robust foundation for future enhancements.
