X by 2 Cool Place to Work 2021

X by 2 is proud to be ranked 7 of 100 on Crain’s 2021 Cool Places to Work in Michigan list. Recognized for the third consecutive year, our company has continued to prioritize employee health, growth, and fulfillment while navigating the ongoing pandemic.

“We are honored to receive this award, especially during a year that has challenged so many of us,” said Alyssa Reuter, Head of People & Culture at X by 2.

Cool Places to Work is a statewide survey and awards program presented each year by Crain’s Detroit Business. Based on a series of employee surveys that assess workplace culture, benefits and perks, employee engagement, flexibility, and related factors, the award recognizes businesses that go above and beyond for employee satisfaction. This year’s coolest companies were announced on August 20 during a virtual reveal.

“Employee wellbeing has always been a top priority at X by 2,” said Reuter. “When the pandemic presented new challenges both in and out of the office, we began looking for different ways to support our employees and, more importantly, stay connected during the transition to remote work.”

To ensure our team was equipped to collaborate, brainstorm, and excel off-site, we launched a home office reimbursement program to help employees create a comfortable and effective remote workspace. We later shifted to a hybrid work model, which allows all employees to work safely at home or in the office.

Beyond offering traditional health and wellness benefits, we’ve also continued to provide unlimited sick days; health and wellness expense reimbursement; and alternative medicine and care programs, such as telemedicine, as a part of our primary benefits package. Based on employee feedback and future shifts in the workplace, we will continue to adapt to the changing needs of our team.
